EDUCATION

BS Che Penn State University 1972
MS ChE Stanford University 1975
PhD ChE Stanford University 1980 Advisor: Michel Boudart. Thesis title “The Preparation and Use of Platinum Powders in Adsorption and Catalysis.”

EXPERIENCE

40 years in petroleum industry. Two with Mobil Research and Development 1972-1974. 38 years with Chevron Technology Company (and similar names) 1977-2015.

Various positions from Research Engineer to Senior Consultant. Focus was on heterogenous catalysis and in managing mercury throughout the petroleum value chain. Also led the deployment of Chevron’s policy on IP management throughout the corporation. Worked with SASOL Chevron Joint Venture to secure freedom to operate.
